Help Pessimistic Prisoners in District Jail Sialkot

A sun with hope was ready to rise for those when Sialkot Eden Lions got to know about these prisoners. A prompt action was taken by the Club President Lion Anjum Latif Ch and mobilize his distinguished & dynamic Lions Team. A young dynamic Lion Arif Khawar Butt was leading the crew along with Region Chairperson Lion Ilyas Butt. With consensus of all Eden Lions, 14 Lions were ready to take their journey on 1st March, 2010 to help these pessimistic prisoners in District Jail Sialkot. The fourteen Men were equal eager to meet the District Jail Authorities to negotiate the matter. In this regard, a meeting held with Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Riaz and got the detail of fine of these prisoners.
Eden Lions paid the fine PKR:98000/= ( USD 1152.94 ) & get released after necessary legal processing. After release, the picture hard to describe in words, with tears bundle of thanks given to Eden Lions and their families were equally thankful & excited for reunion. Sialkot Eden Lions paid Rs: 500/-( USD 5.88 ) to each prisoner for the Transportation to their homes. Chairperson of this project is Lion Anjum Latif Ch, Co-Chairperson Lion Waqar Ahmed chughtai and Project coordinators is Lion Arif Khawar Butt.
